Getting nostalgic

I haven't written something for quiet sometime. It was due to various reason's like writer's block as well as lack of time(actually more of the former). Finally I've decided to scribble something so that I can write some sensible article after 2-3 crap posts. Its been around 7 months since I joined infy and abt 5 months in Bangalore.I've had a pretty good experience over here when it comes to interacting with people, making friends, roaming around and just about doing anything that I would get time to do.But, still there are times when one feels a void somewhere deep within.Right now I am going through the same kind of feeling.(It also may have something to do with the fact that I lost my mobile phone from right under my nose.Actually from my pocket).Coming back to the main point,I am having ambivalent feelings about staying away from home and friends(not that I don't have any over here).Sometimes one just feels like this is the best thing to have happened but at times you just hope to get done with everything and move back to where your heart is(in this case home and with old friends). There are times when we remember the good old days of sharing a cuppa tea with buddies, the bird watching sessions at hang out places, the assignments which we always cribbed about(yeah and I kinda miss all that now),the eating sessions on the last benches with friends in the middle of the lectures, the rose day celebrations.... its just about endless.Sadly all these things will never come back. Its only the memories which will stay with us forever. To quote a dialogue from the movie Bluffmaster "tumhe aise kitne din yaad hain-first job, pehli salary, jab pehli baar tumhaara dil dhadka, jab pehli baar tumne kisi ladki ko chhua".I mean these were very small and minor things in our life at that time but now we actually realise how significant they were.
Sometimes we just wish that life should always be the same, just the way it was in college, with friends and family. The ups and downs, the happiness of forcing the birthday boy/girl to give a treat, the fun times during DJ nites in college festivals, the nite-outs during exams, the planning sessions for vacations which always started a night before the last exam.Am I getting too nostalgic.Well thats the way I'm-emotional,sentimental,foolish and crazy to a certain extent.Even today when I see a group of college students hanging around in the malls and multiplexes it reminds me of my own college days, the way we bunked lectures to run away for a movie, the way we played cricket during the college fests, the crushes, the many proposals and equal number of rejections, how hearts broke sometimes(sadly) and came together many times(to live happily),the drinking sessions after a soured relationship or a lost championship trophy(which for us was nothing less than the world cup).I know life has to move one.Everybody moves on but its just that you always feel like asking God to give back one such day of our life so that we can undo many of the mistakes that we made and also relive those magical moments.

There's one thing that is clear - College days will never come back again. The good thing is, we have lots of pleasant memories of those times. Cheers to the good old days! How I miss them too!!! Tension mat le, jab tak chhokri nahin milti tab tak bura haal hoga, which means a lifetime in your case! :)
