Anne Frank and her diary

I have been reading up Anne Frank's diary of late.I haven't yet completed the book but it surely makes for interesting reading. The book or rather the diary tells us the tale of a wonderful and courageous 13 year old girl who has a very positive outlook to life even during the barbaric times of WW-II.To be a Jew in Hitler's Europe was a the biggest crime in those days and the punishment was nothing less than a slow and painful death.Yet,this girl managed to look forward to a new day in the "secret annexe" where she stayed along with 7 others(including her family) until the hideout was discovered by the Nazi's.One can't even dream of staying locked in a house with all the facilities for more than 2 days and here was this brave girl who did go through these trials and tribulations for two whole years just because of no fault of hers. The poignant incidents mentioned in the diary only make us realise how lucky we are to live in a much better world(it definitely is better than WW-II as of now) and how thankful we should be to god for giving us this beautiful gift of life which everyone should learn to spend with family, friends and neighbours in a peaceful way so that humanity can live on.

Well said. There is a lot to be learnt in the grace and dignity that the victims of the Holocaust displayed, even when suffering such horrendous atrocities, and even more reason that we resolve that such a carnage never happen again.

i am tired of this politically correct and extremely tactfull replies u hv been attracting off late.. wher's the passion gone.. it is surely not reflected in your writings.. even the one abt the bus travel thingie is a bit mellow by the patty's standards i knew. ...and dont gimme lame reasons by saying u dont find time...
Remeber the passion which dies away with growth and exposure was never a passoin after all... bhantii passion shud never die.. passion is what makes u unique.....

more passoin.... fire from patty....like bowling ur first over in an overheated situation.....

I guess u r correct shree.Even I kinda felt that my last few posts haven't come out the way I wanted them to.I don't know if its the change in location and environment which is killing the passion or something else. But I surely promise to start writing the way I always have tried to-with a lot of thought, passion(which is very important for an emotional fool like me) and some nice topics which we can actually debate or have a nice argument over.Wat say bhunti?
